Welcome to Bangla Department of Chandina Redwan Ahmed College. This is a newly established department which started in 2014 (session 2013-2014). It is matter of pride that the number of students is increasing day by day at our department. Becouse we are committed to the students that we make them efficient and well educated citizens for our country. The students of Bangla Department are not confined to bookish knowledge. They Participate in various co-curicular activities such as sport, cultural competitions depating and scouting. Besides study tour is arranged for the student at the end of every academic year. I Believe that the students of Bangla department will be competent for any kind of jobs and will make themselves responsible citizen by obtaining high quality education.

An article of Bangla Literature:


Bangla leterature reached at its highest pick during the nineteenth centure. In that period, we got many famous poets story writers, critics, dramatists and novelists who made the bengali language and literature too much rich and upheld the strong position in the world literature. Rabindranath Tagor, Michael Modhusudan Datta, Bangkim Chandra Chattapadhya, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Sharad Chandra Chattapadya, Bibutibhushan Bandapaddya, Manik Bandapaddya were amongst the prominent and most powerfull writers. But its seeds had been sowed long before that century. Reflecting the long history of the region, Bangladesh has a literature and culture that encompasses elements both old and new, which Bangladesh shares with the India state of west bengal “Charyapada” was the earliest literature text in Bengali which was written in the 8th century.

The medieval bengali literature was often either religious (e.gChandidas or Baruchandidas) or adapted from other language (e.g. Alaol) in Mughol’s era, many Muslim writers and Poets (as well as many Hindu writers and poets too) emerged in Bengali literature to a great extent.

Rabindranath Tagor won the novel prize on literature and introduced the Bengali literature to the world. He was genius and he enriched all sectors of literature in Bengali. He is the author of the national anthem of Bangladesh. Another iconic figure in this sectore is Kazi Nuzrul Islam. He is mainly prominent and popular for is lyrics and songs. He was also known as the rebel poet of Bengal because of his enormous contributions to the independence struggle against the then British rule in India.
