Academic:

  • ClassroomPerformance:Classroomperformanceisanexampleofstudentresponsesystem. It is the key of learning. It allows the students to take part actively in theprocessoflearning.Stillourstudentsarelessinquisitive,butwehavebeentryingtoencourage those asking questions which are most important factor of inquisitiveness.And students are gradually responding to this system. We have succeeded a lot indoingso.
  • Sittingforexaminations(Internal/External):Sittingforexaminationistheconventionalfeedbackoflearningsystem.Thoughitisdirectlyrelatedtotheacademicrecognition,students are very keen to attend all kinds of feedback on examination performance.Heretheparticipationofthelearnersis99%.

Extra-curricularActivities:

  • Sports: Annual Sportsarrangedin academic year, 2022-23.
  • CulturalActivities:CulturalActivities and extra–curriculum arrangesmonthly.
  • SocialActivities:TheManbathaSongoton of the collegearrangedablooddonationcampinthelastfiscalyear. They also distributed warm clothes and blankets among the poor people in thelast winter. Rover Scoutsunit also play roles to keep thecampus clean once a month, take part disciplinary activities and march-past duringthecelebrationofthenationaldays.

KeyAchievementsandHighlightsoftheYearofInstitutionalDevelopmentGrants(IDG)

3 OTM packages, namely, G-8C, G-13, G-17 and G-18, and 2 RFQ packages namely,G-8E and W-4 werecompleted.The packages include the Installation of Campus Networking, Solar Energy System, Language Lab Software and Sound System, UPS, Scanner,AC and Fan etc.Thecollegealsogot Digital Notice Board and Internet ConnectivityprocuredbyPMUascentralprocurement.

With the implementation of the packages, all of the 12 departments, central library, andteachers’ room got the full facilities of drinking water, hygiene.Chemistrylaboratoryhasbeenequippedwithmodernequipment,apparatus&chemicals.IT Lab and Language Lab have been renovated, furnished& installed desktops and other IT equipment. All department’s teachers’ room, and office rooms are air conditioned.1 generatorhas been setup for continual power supply in 3 laboratories and office rooms. The teaching learningenvironment has been improved by renovation and setting up adequate number of lightsand fans in 36 classrooms. All of departments, office, libraries, and 12 classrooms havebeen furnished with modern furniture such as Steel Almirah, File Cabinet, MultipurposeSelf,ComputerTable&Chairs,VisitorChair,HighandLowBenchetc.

The teachersand the employeesshowed creativity andinnovative skillsincontinuingacademic and official activities in the changed pandemic situation. They showed quickadaptability and a communicative skill too. The all these are the part of their accountabilitywiththeprofession.Theyalsodevelopedproblemsolvingandinterpersonalskills.

If the pandemic situation continues, we must carry on the technology-assisted programs toensure the virtual attendance, punctuality, productivity of quality work, mutual cooperation,coachingandtrainingskillsandsoon.

We will arrange in-house training programs, national and international webinars,culturalcompetitiononvirtualplatforms,awarenessprogramsandsoon.

Evaluationsystemswillbeintroducedtoensuretheprofessionalcommitmentoftheteachersandtheemployeesaswell.

Recommendations

If we find any change in ongoing pandemic situation, we should increase technologicalfacilities,suchasWi-Fiaccessforbothoftheteachersandstudents.IntheperipherywhereWi-Fi access is not easy students should be provided with mobile data facilities almost freeof cost. Effective online examination system should be innovated. Theyshould be encouraged to be technology savvy.
